The Chore Jacket.

The Chore Jacket was a unisex workwear garment made from recycled ecru cotton. It was our simple vision of what sustainable, low-run fashion can look like: designed to be worn daily, repaired, dyed, and cared for gently as it grows old.

Each jacket was hand cut and sewn in Kilmarnock, Scotland using European fabric reconstituted from shirting off-cuts in a low-water process. Corozo buttons were specified as a sustainable alternative to horn or plastic, and the boxy profile increases seasonal usability, allowing space for a mid-layer to be worn underneath during colder months. Mending supplies - buttons, organic thread, and patches - were provided, along with clear instructions on traditional Shashiko patching methods, and natural dyeing techniques that can be applied at home.
